Me before heading to paint earlier this wk.  20min poses @ uninstructed LAAFA on thurs (oh, boxes everywhere, packing... i'm actually fairly organized and clean and hate seeing s*** on the floor, except dirt.)

sketches from yesterday and the day before.   Today holds another day full of work then off to the playground for the night time.
I'll follow this post up with a quote i've liked for the longest time;

Sometimes i'll keep redrawing a pose till i get it close or right or if i like a quick sketch i'll just do another quick sketch.  I find the process amusing (i know i have some ultimate fails up above).  I also write all over my sketchbook from thoughts to quotes to etc...  My sketchbook.  :)  Art will always be a growing process;  everytime i approach a sketch i try something different and try to add some new bit of knowledge to make it better.  Definitely keeps things fun.

whoa, an update, so soon?!?!?

perspective sketch of a car done yesterday.  It's a toyota rav 4.  I'm taking Jon Messers Perspective class at Animation Guild and it's awesome (and challenging).   I try to practice the lessons taught in class throughout the week so i can actually absorb the material as opposed to party piling ontop of knowledge that is not even stable enough to sustain itself.  So deep diving into perspective.  Rad.

Also getting some new business cards.  Things are in the works.  OH, and this sketch is REALLY tiny.   Actually, as a general rule of thumb all my pen and ink drawings are extremely small.  I didn't  think so until people started looking over my shoulder and making such remarks.    So i guess i draw small, saves paper. :)

 I've  gone mad and took photos of myself taking a photo of a quick study i painted yesterday.  I call this quick study; 'the dining room table i moved into the front doorway so i could do a quick study of it' piece.

I came across this photo online sometime in the past week and i can't get if off my desktop.

 sketches i did in vadims class today.  First time i played around rendering in pencil for awhile, it was fun.  Approx 2/3hrs... i wanted to keep working on it but it was time to paint!  The paper was white, my camara settings were very off.

what i'm currently painting.  Next week we do a color version for Vadims class.
