this week.  A drawing i intend to transfer to pen n ink, done from a friend who was kind enough to pose, and small studies for a larger piece.  The one on the right is a copy.  It used a palette i liked and had a similar lighting/landscape situation to what i was doing.  The painting to the left is a small study of a personal painting.    Still pushing and pulling with that one, but at least i'm not doing it on a 30"x40" canvas.

a small pen and ink sketch i did for a larger piece.  Trying out some new surfaces, application methods and aesthetic qualities. So far just moving.

My painting sold at the 102nd CAC Gold Medal Show to a wonderful lady i was fortunate enough to meet. Many good paintings at the show, i would highly recommend seeing them in person if you can.

Drawings find a new home and painting i'm done with.

 40"x30".  Spent awhile trying to trouble shoot this one.  But i'm finally ready to go nuts making some smaller paintings :)
My guilty confession is that i will leave the door open to tinkering with this piece until and if i decide to frame it. 

Also working on developing my pen and ink drawings.  I love drawing them, and people seem to like 'em.  In college i drew a huge... almost wall size drawing with a pen and ink motif.  Crazy drawing based on patterns and a dual self portrait.  I wonder what happened to it.  I never took a photo but it got alot of attention.  It had a little s&m feel to it.
